PhD: Göttingen, 1999, Thesis : Elektrophysiologische Untersuchungen zur neuronalen Mustergenese der Stridulation bei der Feldheuschrecke Stenobothrus rubicundus (Germar 1817) (Prof.Dr. Norbert Elsner)
PostDoc: I was at the ITB in Berlin in the group of A. Herz, from September 1999 to March 2004, interrupted by a one-year-stay in the US for a postdoctoral position at the Krieger Mind Brain Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. There I was working in the groups of E. Niebur and R.v.d. Heydt , to learn about neural modeling, visual perception, human psychophysics, and electrophysiology in the primate brain. From April 2004 I worked at the Dept. of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, and since 2005 also at the Dept. of Neurology II. Since April 2008 I have a permanent position at the Institute for cognitive Neurology and Dementia Research (IKND).
